Superiority

L-Malic Acid is the natural form of malic acid. L-Malic Acid is the sour, tart taste of the green Granny Smith Apple and it is also known as L-Apple Acid. This product is best used for health applications and will allow an "Organic" designation when used in Food & Beverage applications. All other forms of Malic Acid, like D-Malic or DL-Malic Acids typically available in the US, are produced with synthesized processes and/or ingredients and can NOT be used in Food & Beverage applications, which require an "Organic" designation. This product is derived through a natural process from non-GMO carbohydrates. L-Malic Acid is a natural form of malic acid and is Kosher and Halal certified. This powder form is commonly used as an all natural food/beverage additive and a nutritional supplement or for medicinal purposes. We offer size options for individual or commercial use and volume ordering at wholesale prices.

Details

L-malic acid is an organic compound with the molecular formula C4H6O5. It is a dicarboxylic acid that is made by all living organisms, contributes to the pleasantly sour taste of fruits, and is used as a food additive. Malic Acid has two stereoisomeric forms (L- and D-enantiomers), though only the L-isomer exists naturally. The salts and esters of Malic Acid are known as malates. The malate anion is an intermediate in the citric acid cycle.

APPLICATIONS

  •  Food and healthcare

    a. acidity regulator
    b. antistaling agent
    c. gel effect
    d. interview enhancer
    e. salt effect
    f. color effect
    g. antioxidants

  • Medical field

    a. Because of its special position in metabolism circulation, Malic Acid can directly participate in human metabolism and be absorbed by the human body. It can provide energy to the body in a short time to eliminate fatigue;
    b. Adding Malic Acid to drugs can increase drug stability and promote drug absorption. (for example, the amino acid fluid infusion, the Malic Acid improves the utilization of amino acids, and regulates the PH);
    c. L-Malic Acid as one of the basic components of drugs to treat heart disease, it is used to supplement k+ and mg2+ to maintain energy metabolism of myocardium.

  • Industrial field

    a. Malic Acid has strong ability of antioxidant and chelating cooperation, it can be used as a color retention agent and synergist, which is widely used in dyestuff industry.
    b. Adjust PH, used as air cleaner, detergents, waste desulfurizer.
    c. It is a basic monomer of the special performance polymers, which can be used to synthesize biodegradable plastics;
    d. Malic Acid can be used in the construction industry to shorten the solidification time;
    e. It can be used as a feed additive, with a 0.4 percent feed that can increase the weight of a chicken by 12 percent;
    f. Decrease the carbon dioxide content of automobile exhaust;
    g. It can be used in kelp breeding industry
